My Audi RS2 is for sale
A time to move on...

SOLD - Audi RS2 for sale
Information for potential buyers

What is the asking price?

I have listed the car for 37 500 EUR (~42 000 USD) and reasonable offers are welcome. If you  decide to make an offer below the asking price, please factor in the condition of the car and note that the car is in much better condition than RS2 cars on sale in this price range.

Why am I selling the car?

I have enjoyed this car for a while and now I feel that it is time to move on. For me the car has become too precious for everyday use. After I sell this RS2, perhaps I will buy my first Porsche and try a different experience.

What is the condition of the car?

The car is in excellent visual and mechanical condition. The paint is as good as new, underside and suspension are as good as new, interior is in great shape. Main mechanical components have been overhauled and lots of parts are new. The car very original and there are no signs of tuning (except for the full width stainless-steel exhaust and KW suspension). Please see restoration info.

What is the history of the car?

While I do not have a lot of history on this car before the previous owner, from the records I can tell that it was imported from Germany to Latvia in 2003. To my knowledge from other Audi enthusiasts, it has had multiple owners. I also know that it had been sitting in some used car lots for a few years. The guy who sold me the car got it from an used car lot, used it very rarely and did very little to the car. During my ownership, the car has been fully restored and I have hundreds of invoices and other documents of what has been done.

How can I see the car?

The car is located in Riga, Latvia. You can fly to Riga International Airport, where I can pick you up and transfer to the location of the car. Depending on situation it might be possible to see the car near the airport (but this will not be possible in winter or bad weather). You can turn the viewing of my RS2 into a holiday in Riga, there are many nice restaurants and the Motor Museum with Auto Union V16 on display.

Delivery of the car

Buyer can use ferry to Germany or other EU country or we can arrange an insured delivery of the car to another EU country. The cost of the delivery to Germany and nearby countries can be around 500 - 900 EUR.

Unfortunately I am not sure about transportation overseas out of EU (e.g. to Canada), however, should there be a serious interest, I believe that this can be arranged as well.

Owner and registration info

The car is owned by a private owner, an Audi enthusiast with a history of owning S- and RS- cars. Car is registered in Latvia (EU) and has a valid road worthiness permit (equivalent of German TUV).

Are there any defects or problems?

At the time of writing this text the car is in a good condition. There is minimal wear on some interior parts and the radio is very old, so it is not working perfectly (it would be best to install new speakers and HiFi unit).

Where was the car serviced?

During my ownership the car was serviced at several reputable independent workshops whose owners I personally know.

Info for U.S. buyers

According to U.S. regulations, a car must be at least 25 years old before it can be imported to U.S. The manufacture date of my RS2 is 28-03-1995, so it can be imported to U.S. after 28-03-2020.

But you can buy the car before the prices have gone up and store it at a secure, specialized classic car storage location within EU, UK or Canada. Storage cost in EU/UK is around $130 - $150/mo and I will be happy to assist with finding the best solution.
